Training Manuals

These loose-leaf Training Activity Packs and Training Toolkits are written by trainers for trainers, and cover a broad range of management skills such as communication skills training, customer service, teambuilding  and performance management. There are also a wide range of more general products that can be used in a wide range of training courses, such as training ice breakers, pace changers, and session shakers.  A selection of our training resources are also designed to support the development of the trainer, for example, The New Trainer’s Toolkit, The Evaluation Toolkit and Practical Training Skills.

All the exercises, games and activities are customisable, ready-to-run resources  which can be slotted into existing training material or developed into courses ranging from a few hours to several days.  The flexibility and in-depth information provided saves you many hours of preparation time, allowing you to focus on learning needs and delivery. They enable trainers to produce exciting, fresh course material with minimum preparation every time.

Many of our training manuals now include a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM contains the complete pack as an Adobe® Acrobat® .pdf file, including all the handouts and OHTs, enabling you print the handouts and overheads easily. There is also a MS PowerPoint® presentation of the overheads. Those that come with a CD-ROM are indicated in the product information.

Training Manuals broadly split into three different groups:

Activity Packs: These typically cover 20 hands-on activities and instructions to deliver a short course. They have been fine-tuned in real organisations are proven to work. Each activity comes with complete instructions on timings, necessary equipment, background information, how to run the activity and de-briefing on completion.

Toolkits: These have been designed to provide a comprehensive range of resource materials to support the trainer and managers in building and creating processes around a specific task. For example, The Emotionally Intelligent Trainer's Toolkit guides the user through understanding and developing the use of EQ in their own work.

Session Shakers: These are collections of exercises that can be used to inject energy, interest and learning into a wide range of learning interventions, meetings and seminars.

While all our exercises and activities can be run 'as is' , and a complete workshop can be built from a single manual, they also readily lend themselves to customisation and selecting individual activities to insert into other courses. They enable trainers to produce exciting, fresh course material with minimum preparation every time.
