Designing and Delivering Effective Coaching Programmes
Coaching is becoming one of the major tools for learning and development across organisations. Coaching can make a significant difference to the level and quality of learning transfer back to the workplace; it can also make a positive difference to the bottom line. Staff are more productive, better trained and more motivated.
However, very few managers will have the time to attend a full coaching qualification programme. For the training and HR professional then, the challenge is to provide managers with a valid business case for both learning coaching skills and for using and promoting their use in the workplace. There are also other elements to consider before implementing a coaching culture; for example, who to train and how, which coaching model to use and how to cascade that use throughout the organisation.
