This is a high-energy training activity. It utilises the GROW sequence in a group meeting situation, to focus the participants on creating an action plan that will achieve a goal or solve a problem. It is a very effective way of ensuring that meetings are efficient and that everyone contributes to the issue. As a result, team members own their part of the solution
You introduce the training activity with a review of the GROW sequence. The participants then move onto a team meeting where the GROW sequence is applied to an agreed issue. A different volunteer leads each of the four steps of the GROW sequence. Having established their options, the team works in small groups to plan the way forward. They reconvene and each small group presents its action plan.
