One of the most important tools in the leader’s influencing-skills kit is the ability to make persuasive presentations. This training activity provides a format for making persuasive presentations and a chance to practise using it.

The participants work in pairs to prepare a persuasive presentation using the format supplied. If time allows, some participants have the opportunity to deliver their presentation and receive feedback during the training session.

Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to help participants with a format for persuasive presentations. They go on to use this in a practical exercise with the rest of the group.

Purpose: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to build on the learning from ‘Selling one to one’, and applies it to the situation where the leader is selling to a group of people. It relates closely to ‘Communicating the vision’, which addresses the same topic from a different angle. It aims to help participants give persuasive presentation.
