This training activity will enable participants to manoeuvre their way through the various organisational career processes they may encounter and need to take advantage of in order to develop their career. Different career processes such as development, appraisal and promotion are discussed.

After a short introduction, participants are asked to explore their perceptions of their organisation in a creative way and avoiding stereotyping. Then either you or a guest speaker presents the processes and tools available to the participants in their organisation for personal and career development and what is formally offered by other organisations. The final exercises examine how these formal career processes and tools can best be used for the benefit of the organisation and its employees. They look at how useful certain of the organisation’s career processes and tools are to themselves and what actions to take as a result.
