This training activity covers the first stage of a three-stage recruitment and selection process – producing job and person specifications. One of the benefits of job and person specifications is to ensure objectivity in this first stage. Earlier employment law on discrimination already applied to these documents, but recent age-discrimination legislation means that existing documents may now be unlawful.
This training activity helps participants to recognise that job and person specifications are essential to effective recruitment and that the latest legislation means that all organisations should review these documents.
Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers acting as facilitators, but managers, coaches, colleagues or consultants can readily facilitate this training activity.
