In the twenty-first century workplace, most people do not expect to be very closely supervised of obliged to follow very detailed procedures; equally, they don’t want to be thrown in at the deep end and simply told to get on with it. Coaching is a very effective way for leaders to give their people the support and information they need to do a task. This training activity explores in depth the skills of coaching.
After a brief demonstration of the coaching process, participants work in groups of three to coach each other.
