One key attribute of the members of a winning team is their readiness to co-operate with others. This training activity is designed to demonstrate the power of this approach.

This training activity is a great way to start a workshop which brings together people who have traditionally been reluctant to share ideas or information. As a group they have to find the answers to some key questions, based on limited information which is available on a series of individual ‘clue cards’. If the teams are to succeed in solving the problem they have to share all the information available to them; it quickly becomes apparent if anyone is holding back.

Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to demonstrate to participants the benefits of sharing ideas and information with colleagues and the need for this approach.

Purpose: This training resource is intended for use by trainers as a light-hearted exercise to help people to relax with one another, as a prologue to more demanding work. It is also effective in helping people from different backgrounds or professional disciplines to work together on a problem that will be equally unfamiliar to all of them. It can also be used in problem-solving programmes.
