A winning team will strive to produce a consistent quality of service, which necessitates that everyone understands exactly what they should deliver. This is made much easier if the team is working to comprehensive, easily understood, practical and up-to-date procedures.
This training activity starts with a light-hearted exercise in which the participants learn the difficulty of writing clear instructions and procedures. Having divided into smaller teams, each writes instructions for carrying out a simple, everyday task and the other teams then try to follow the instructions. The teams then reform and consider which of their current procedures could benefit from being revised, before attempting to revise one or two of them.
Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to test the participants’ ability to write accurate and effective procedures and processes.
