In order to improve upon our current performance we need to stop and review progress as often as possible. If we fail to do this regularly we may end up working inefficiently. We may still be doing very well and meeting organisational goals but there are always better and more efficient ways of meeting/exceeding our goals. Often enough we are not aware that there is a better way of improving performance, or we are too busy to take time out to review current structures. There are, of course, many organisations that make reviews a priority, and make small changes as frequently as every month. These changes do not disrupt the workforce; they just improve the process. This training activity addresses the issue by showing that anything can be achieved if a cleverly-thought-out process has been planned and properly communicated.

As one team, participants build a replica of a bridge using natural resources only. The team gather the materials and divide them among the group. Each participant then takes turns in the construction according to alphabetical order of surname.

Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to enable participants to understand the necessity of strategies, using an adventurous and creative construction training activity that quickly highlights the issues which arise if strategy is not well thought out.
