You no doubt feel you work as hard as you can, but it is possible to work really hard yet find yourself in the same position year after year. This training activity looks at how, if you do want to progress, hard work alone is not enough. Although there are regular and routine (maintenance) tasks which have to be done, time and effort must also be directed towards identifying opportunities to develop more tasks geared towards progress (progress tasks).
You begin this training activity by asking the participants to list their top five key job requirements and identify the progress opportunities within these job requirements. Participants then carry out interviews to help each other establish how they will find the time to include more progress tasks into their daily routine.
