All team members need to have a clear picture of what the ideal characteristics or features of a working team are in order to be able to develop their team towards these goals. Even more important, the team leader needs to have an equally clear picture to be able to guide the team. These six short exercises highlight the characteristics by getting the participants to think things out for themselves, building commitment to the ideas.
The participants carry out the six short exercises to develop their understanding of the characteristics of effective teams. The background notes supplied supplement their own ideas derived from the exercises, which are then consolidated through a final discussion.
