There is a solution to every problem. However, some are more obvious than others. For those more elusive solutions, a greater degree of innovative and intuitive thinking is needed. This creative-thinking technique is based on a method pioneered by Walt Disney and still utilised in the Disney studios today.
Participants work in groups of three, applying the Walt Disney creative-thinking strategy to individual problems. They then apply the same methodology to a group problem, this time working in groups of four. At all stages, they are assisting each other to successfully get into the right state of mind with its associated body language – the states being dreamer, realist, critic and impartial.
Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to encourage participants to be innovative by providing them with a proven technique to use, even if they do not believe they are naturally creative.
