In order to achieve high performance with staff, managers need to attend to their own learning and development needs. This training activity provides an opportunity for participants to review their learning during the programme and to plan their personal development in relation to their responsibilities in achieving high performance.

Following a short introduction, participants review their learning by assessing their skills in achieving high performance. You then confirm that participants are familiar with the analytical and planning techniques of SWOT analysis and SMART objective setting; if not, you need to provide input. Participants then form pairs to coach each other in preparing a personal development plan to implement one short-term and one long-term objective related to their learning about achieving high performance.
