As children, we are all enthralled by stories at school, at home, in books, in theatre and on TV and film. We love the images the story-teller builds for us as we read or listen to the plot unfold. As we grow older we often have fond memories of our favourite story being read to us or seeing our favourite film again and again. This training activity aims to develop more effective presentation, meeting skills and customer interface skills by demonstrating and exploring how participants can deliver key messages ensconced in stories and images. Using the logical sequence of the brain, participants will be able to improve their presentation and meeting skills and make their messages come alive for their audience.

The training activity begins with total involvement from the group. Looking at improvisation skills, they play with a very up-front public introduction to themselves. It goes on to involve the group in a short reminder about other considerations when presenting themselves. It moves on to develop their story-telling techniques. It also previews how they can elicit different states in their audience. The whole activity culminates in a session which demonstrates how participants can install and deliver key messages effectively.
