Learning is some relatively permanent change in behaviour that occurs as a result of experiences or practice. All learning involved change in some way, so planning for change is part of planning to learn.

This training activity starts with a noisy, physical exercise to help participants explore what happens when making changes. A short plenary session draws conclusions from the exercise and these are used to think about meeting learning needs. Participants work in pairs, using a planning pro forma, to decide how to meet a defined learning need and manage the changes involved.

Who is it for: This training activity is intended for use by trainers to help participants who have identified their learning needs to consider what behaviour they might have to change to meet those needs.
