This training activity uses a case study to illustrate what happens when an disciplinary interview is not effectively prepared for.
This training activity uses a case study to illustrate the importance of careful planning for disciplinary interviews. In this example, the manager does not plan and prepare well, and participants are left imagining the likely outcome. Participants read the case study and make brief notes on the different actions of the manager, before making a checklist to help her in the future. The training activity needs very little introduction, and the trainer’s main role is to facilitate the feedback session and debrief. Participants work in small groups to complete the training activity.
