What if we do this?
You begin this training activity with a brief introduction to solution-effect analysis. The participants learn about the technique by applying it to a real issue facing the team. You take them through the process step by step, explaining the concepts as a diagram develops. After the creative thought, the participants then apply logical thought processes in order to focus on the key factors. Finally, participants reinforce their learning by using the technique on another real issue and end by reviewing the session in a plenary discussion.
Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to help participants identify the possible ‘effects’ resulting from adopting a particular ‘solution’.
