Leading a team quite often means that the team leader needs to formulate plans, agree those planes with the team, and then put them into operation under pressurised situations. This training activity gives participants the opportunity to experience this in a controlled environment, then to analyse the skills they used to carry out the challenge, together with the relevance of those skills to their everyday work.

The participants are split into two groups and each group given 45 minutes to plan how they will transport a glass of water over a distance of 2 metres between two tables. The water must not spill, and the groups may only use the equipment provided. After the challenge, the groups assess the skills they used to complete the task and analyse the relevance of those skills to their everyday work.
