This is a follow-up to ‘Terrific technology’, and is an opportunity for participants to hone their skills and apply good practice. Following on from the previous training activity, participants return with their revised presentations for further discussion and feedback.
The training activity opens with the participants reviewing their action points from the feedback they received in the previous session, ‘Terrific technology’. During each review, the other participants complete a structured checklist on the feedback to build a tailored observation checklist for each participant. Next, the participants deliver a revised 15-minute presentation, explaining the background before doing so. In the following feedback session, the participants note any points made by their colleagues that they want to pay attention to in the future. You ensure that the exercise ends on a constructive note for the participants. You close the training activity by asking the participants for their reactions to a quotation by Aesop and their thoughts on what they have learned from the last two sessions.
Who is it for: This training activity is intended for use by trainers to follow on from the previous activity, ‘Terrific technology’, and participants return with their revamped presentations for further discussion and feedback.
