Time is a precious resource, and it’s not renewable. This training activity confronts participants with three major time-management dilemmas: are they spending time on things that are truly important?; are they spending enough time on developing their teams and businesses?; and have they got a work/life balance they are happy with?

Participants plan their week ahead with a view to focusing on what’s important; reflect on how they spent last week and then review their work/life balance by analysing how much time they spend on work and non-work pursuits.

Who is it for: This training resource is intended for use by trainers to help the participants plan their week ahead and focus on what is really important. They review the balance between work and non-work and decide how to improve the balance if they are unhappy with it.

Purpose: This training resource is intended for use by trainers towards the end of a training programme when participants have got to know each other well. It also presupposes that participants have a clear vision or sense of direction for their teams or organisation. If they do not, first complete ‘Why have a vision?’, and ‘Finding your vision’.
