We all visualise. In fact, some of us prefer to take the world on board in a visual way and prefer to have information presented to us in pictures. There will be group members who find this activity very natural and you will find you are able to learn from them. Although visualisation is a very powerful tool, not many people know how to actively use it. Many of the sporting world’s star performers visualise their success prior to a big event. From gymnasts to top executive, visualisation can help everyone in the pursuit of success. This training activity provides an introduction into visualisation techniques and affirmations and how they can be used to enhance performance in a customer service environment.

The training activity begins by outlining what visualisation means and takes the group through an introductory demonstration. It goes on to explain how participants can use the technique to increase their own self-belief. Working in pairs the group undertake a visualisation exercise and then learn to like in affirmations to make it even more powerful. The last exercise leads them to look at ways of using visualisation to enhance their confidence with all their customers, even their worst ones.
