This training activity concludes the process begun with the training activity ‘What Are Your Expectations?’ and is a useful evaluative end to an event or programme.

Participants review the ‘wish list’ they set in the training activity ‘What Are Your Expectation?’ and decide how well their expectations have been met, scoring these out of 10. On a new handout, they also record any further learning as ‘unexpected extras’, scoring its value to them out of 10. You invite participants to share their scores in the group, and record these on a sheet of flipchart paper. Your may choose to discuss any issues that arise and agree the actions you are prepared to take.

Who is it for: This training activity is intended for use by trainers to get participants’ immediate reactions to a learning event as part of an evaluative process. It helps participants to review their learning and gives the trainer an immediate measure of effectiveness.
